Freeman’s Little New York (Casual Dining, 6092 Quinpool), visited October 23. A local classic, we stopped in for a Time Square pizza – a souped up Hawaiian with tomato and bacon. We were impressed! While we were there, we sampled their Burger Week offering, the Jagged Little Dill – a classic burger topped with a spicy fried dill pickle and garlic aioli. It was good, but a touch overpriced (albeit a portion went to Feed Nova Scotia). Still, you can’t beat the atmosphere of this friendly neighbourhood resto. Verdict: 4.5/5 (90%) chance of returning.
