Kajohn Thai (Thai, 6140 Young), visited August 22. The best thing about Kajohn is that the portion sizes are better than most other local Thai restaurants, but the prices are a bit higher on average and the food isn’t as tasty. The spring rolls were average. The Cashew Nut Noodle Stir Fry was ok – it basically tasted like Pad Thai with cashews instead of peanuts. The Pineapple Fried Rice was very disappointing. Traditionally served in a hollowed out pineapple, this one wasn’t. The pineapple tasted canned, the vegetables were clearly of the frozen mixed variety (as evidenced by the Lima beans?!?), the dish was not well seasoned and it left a greasy taste in our mouths. Verdict: 2/5 (40%) chance of returning.
