The Mug and Anchor (Pub, 643 Main, Mahone Bay), visited August 28. A Mahone Bay staple with a view money can’t buy. M wasn’t available, so guest judge A filled in and ordered the Mexican Chicken Wrap. It looked pretty meager on the plate (especially when compared to the big-as-your-forearm fish & chips) but tasted pretty good and had a slow burn that didn’t kick in until the end. J had the Meat Pie, which was a huge slice of dough, beef and gravy. No veggies, no problem! Verdict: 4/5 (80%) chance of returning.
